I recently signed up for Distrokid and left my old music distribution company because of lack of transparency in the payment plan, and it seems I paid way more then I initially though. I liked the support of my old company but I feel ripped off!
With Distrokid I get to keep 100 % of my royalties despite a few extra charges for some additional services but in the long term, it´s so much cheaper! I can still keep track of all my songs, where and when someone listens.

If you hope to get on Release Radar or editorial playlist, it´s a very good idea to pitch your song at least 5 weeks ahead of release, no matter the genre.
